Amazonite
Amazonite is a semiprecious stone from the silicate group. This mineral is a green or blue-green variety of the feldspar known as microcline. Its name comes from the legendary Amazon, which takes its name from the Amazon River. Although it is named after this region, this mineral does not occur in the actual Amazon. A characteristic feature of amazonite is its greenish color, caused by a small amount of lead interspersed with irregular inclusions of white albite. It typically forms columnar and tabular crystals. The mineral's hardness on the Mohs scale is 6-6.5. Amazonite has excellent bidirectional cleavage.
Amazonite has a calming effect, reduces stress, alleviates anxiety, and aids communication, expressing feelings, and building sincere relationships.
In the spiritual realm, it supports intuition, creativity, and courage, as well as protecting against negative energy and can help balance emotions. It is often called the "stone of youth," supporting regeneration and stabilizing moods, especially in women during hormonal fluctuations.
